Come join us for an immersive journey to Alabama that helps us know the story of the racial history of America and the Church. In this guided, 2-day tour through Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery, we will visit several civil rights legacy sites in Alabama and Georgia, such as the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, The Legacy Museum, 16th Street Baptist Church, and the Historic Dexter Avenue Baptist Church and we’ll spend time processing as a Flourish community how “to raise the conversation on reconciliation in the Church back to the common language of love.” (Dr. John M Perkins)
This tour will be led and facilitated by OneRace Movement for The Flourish Collective community. Flourish members will fly into Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday afternoon, October 8 and join together for an orientation meeting that night. Then, we'll travel by bus to Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery to tour civil rights legacy sites. We’ll stay Oct. 9 and 10 in Montgomery and drive back to Atlanta on Saturday morning, October 11 for a mid-day flight. For more details as well as pricing information, please contact Laura Taggart, head of Flourish Faith & Justice, as LauraTaggart4@outlook.com.
