Please join us for a 7 week cohort with the book, How The Word Is Passed: A reckoning with the history of slavery across America by Clint Smith. Smith will be our able tour guide as he takes us to 7 pivotal places in our history that you may not have learned about in school. He discusses the origins of that place and the racism that went along with it and then examines the throughline of that place in how we still experience systemic racism today. This is a much needed history lesson and understanding of why we are where we are today.
