Come join us on August 15th for our summer book club as we discuss Lorraine Hansberry's classic, A Raisin in the Sun, an award-winning drama about the hopes and aspirations of a struggling, working-class family living on the South Side of Chicago that connected profoundly with Black America. We're excited to revisit this well-known classic in light of our learning and discussions this year. "The events of every passing year add resonance to A Raisin in the Sun," said The New York Times. "It is as if history is conspiring to make the play a classic." We look forward to examining themes in the book which we observe today and invite you to join us.
We'll host Zoom and an in-person meeting option in the East Bay, so please Register at the appropriate button.
