Howard Thurman was a preacher and civil rights advocate who believed in non-violent activism through the building of community. Join us for our 5-week book cohort as we read through Howard Thurman's 1949 classic, Jesus and the Disinherited, and gather to talk poverty, racism and racial segregation, and spiritual renewal as we examine connections between the life of Jesus and the experiences of African Americans.
